If the SMTP Relay Server Service wont start check the following:

1. Make sure the System-Account (User Account for the Operating System - normally "System") has permissions to execute/open all the files within the SMTP-Relay-Directory.
2. Check that no other server-application is running on the IP-Port you choose within the configuration.
