During the last days I worked quite hard on the "read email form" as well as on the advanced features from the main grid-list. Reading mails no is nearly done but have a look to the screenshot at your own (trust me - its not faked ).
Below you see the main grid-list containing some test-emails marked for deletion and some for bouncing. As the new version has a much more advanced parser for emails, its now possible to handle multipart-email (like HTML mails) a lot better. This results in a much more confortable and stable email viewer supporting all kind of text-formats (plain, rich text, html).
The attachment-handling was improved as well. So it doesn't need to save attachments temporary on disk anymore. Note: The old (current) version of Mail Inspector saves attachment temporary on disk when opening an email which is not that smart as it could be (and with the new version is).
As you see the blue infobox Mail Inspector tries to remove dangerous code (like iframes and scripts) from HTML-Mail before displaying them. This part specially will be anhanced for future version.
Right after finishing this article I will start implementing the "write mail" including sending email. These two parts will be needed for many other functions like reply, replayall, forward, write and bounce mails.
I'm getting jittery to use the new version for my own daily business so stay tune !
Cheers, Marc
